My alma mater, Georgia College & State University, was a great school, and, as a former students, I'm well aware of the accolades the university has achieved - best value, most wired, and ever-rising SAT scores, etc. The liberal arts campus is on the up and up in terms of prestige, but the one area where GCSU is not really making any progress is minorities enrollment. The latest USG Student Enrollment Report places GCSU
2nd to last in percentage of non-white students, lagging only slightly in its diversity mission to North Georgia College & State University. The report doesn't state why GCSU is
so white - hovering around 85% for the last few years - but the consistency of the figures doesn't hide the fact that the college isn't really concerned about improving those numbers.
