Yesterday, Saturday October 30 2010, was The Rally to Restore Sanity and/or The Rally to Keep Fear Alive at the mall in Washington D.C. and airing on Comedy Central. It was 3 hours of comedy and music, and at the end, even a few minutes for sincerity. Jon Stewart took the stage at around 2:45PM for a quick, quasi-serious, and yet honest and rational monologue. In a political season that has been particularly partisan and viscous - what with the wall to wall smear-mercials that will be with us now until November 2nd - Stewart's short speech was a welcome reminder of what politics should be and not what it seems to be (especially here in Georgia). Go normalcy!
If you missed the Rally, you can watch Stewart's speech again here.
